Taiwanese pianist Wenyin Chan is “technically brilliant, musically spontaneous, creative and convincing,” says the legendary pianist Claude Frank. Ms. Chan has performed internationally throughout the United States and abroad, including such venues as Carnegie Hall, Steinway Hall, Minneapolis Orchestra Hall, and the Taiwan National Recital Hall. She has appeared with the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra.

Apart from her solo activities, Ms. Chan is also an active chamber musician. Praised by distinguished violinist Miriam Fried for her “musical flair and great deal of understanding and sophistication,” Ms. Chan has performed in many highly respected international music festivals throughout the United States, including Ravinia Music Festival, Taos Music Festival, and Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival.

Ms. Chan’s numerous competition awards have brought her national and international attention. At the age of 14, she won the first prize at the prestigious Taiwan National Music Competition, and a year later, she was awarded the second prize at the Taipei Chopin Piano Competition. In 1996, she received a special prize from the Moscow International Chopin Piano Competition for Young Artists, after which she was invited to perform at the Polish Embassy in Moscow. Her competition accomplishments in the United States include the Manhattan School Concerto Competition, Great Neck Piano Competition, Missouri Southern International Piano Competition, and the International Piano-e-Competition, among others.

Ms. Chan began playing the piano at age four and made her solo debut when she was 13.  She later enrolled at the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia and studied with the renowned pianist Peter Serkin. After receiving her Bachelor of Music degree from the Curtis Institute, Ms. Chan continued her studies under the tutelage of Claude Frank at Yale School of Music, where she received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree. 台灣旅美鋼琴家詹雯茵演奏足跡遍及北美及歐洲,曾受邀於紐約史坦威中心 (Steinway Hall) ,卡內基廳威爾廳、詹克廳 (Weill Hall and Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall)、明尼蘇達管弦廳 (Orchestral Hall) 及甘迺迪中心 (The Kennedy Center) 等重要場館演出,1997年赴美就讀曼哈頓音樂學院 (Manhattan School of Music),師事 Solomon Mikowsky;之後於費城蔻蒂斯音樂學院 (The Curtis Institute of Music) 取得音樂學士,師事國際知名演奏家 Peter Serkin,畢業後進入耶魯大學 (Yale University) 研究所與鋼琴家 Claude Frank 習琴,在2000年及2003年二度獲選為國家音樂廳樂壇新秀並且舉行過多場個人獨奏會,室內樂也有豐富的演出經驗;旅美期間曾多次受邀參加國際知名室內 樂音樂節,包括Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival, Music Academy of the West, Ravinia Chamber Music Festival 以及Taos Chamber Music Festival。2012 年取得耶魯大學音樂博士學位。在美就學期間也曾參與 Boris Berman, Peter Frankl, Leon Fleisher, Robert McDonald, Boris Slutsky, Jerome Lowenthal 等多位著名鋼琴家的大師班。現任教於美國華盛頓 Levine School of Music 。
