姚慶章 Ching-Jang Yao

1941 九月十六曰生於台灣

September 16, born in Taichung, Taiwan

1965 國立台灣師範大學美術系畢業

Graduated from Fine Arts Department of National Taiwan Normal University

首次畫展於國立台灣藝術中心藝術館舉行

First solo exhibition beld in the Art Gallery of National Taiwan Arts Center, Taipei

1969 參加東京第五屆國際青年藝術家展獲榮黌獎

Received Honorary Award at the 5th International Youth Artist Exhibition in Tokyo

1970 參加巴西第十屆聖保羅國際美展，舉家移民美國，持續創作

Attended 10th Saint Paul International Art Exhibition in Brazil, moved to USA

1991 參展「台北-紐約：現代藝術的遇和」於台北市立美術館

“Taipei-New York :Confrontation of modernism” at Taipei Fine Arts Museum

1994 榮獲中華民國畫廊博覽會海外藝術家貢獻獎

Received Overseas Painter Contribution Award of ROC Art Gallery Variety Exhibition.

「歐美現代美術」專書介紹姚慶章為美國超寫霣畫派畫作代表

Listed as one representative super-realist by Photorealism, New York: Harry N. Abrams, Inc.

1998 美國關島大學邀請展、屏東縣立文化中心邀請展、苗栗縣立文化中心邀請展、台南縣立文化中心邀請展

Participated in exhibitions at Ping Tung Hsien Cultural Center, Miaoli Hsien Cultural Center, Tai Nan Cultural Center, and Guam University in the USA.

1999 中華民國第十五屆全國美術邀請展、新竹縣立文化中心邀請個展

Participated in the 15th National Art Exhibition, Taiwan and invited solo exhibition at Hsin Chu Hsien Cultural Center.

2000 龍門畫廊個展「圓形」、「菱形」系列繪畫

十一月六曰驟逝於紐約享年五十九歲
