14. TUF – 台灣之美-亞洲之心國際巡迴畫展

親愛的貴賓，您好：

台灣人聯合基金會(TUF)熱誠邀請您於4月1日至2日來參加國際藝術饗宴「2016-17台灣之美-亞洲之心」國際巡迴畫展。
本次巡迴展是TUF 視覺藝術委員會負責人同時也是國際藝術策展人的蘇奐豪所策展，邀請13位台灣知名藝術家帶來25件油畫和漆畫作品。本巡迴展自去年2016年在台南開展，接著2017在澳洲及夏威夷展覽，己獲得許多獎項及各地很高的評價，下一站4/1-4/2將到洛杉磯展出。8月及10月將參展馬來西亞東歐國家克羅西亞藝術節。
TUF成立迄今三十年，一向重視台美人的文化傳承、創新以及與主流的結合。三十年來舉辦過的大型活動如：文化之夜、名家系列音樂會、台日美藝術巡迴展等享譽洛城文藝界。此次台灣之美巡迴展，並邀請到林顯宗老師在開幕當天舉開一場藝術講座。他是林玉山前輩畫家的女婿。講題：「台灣戰後藝術發展」。
林顯宗老師1933年生於台灣宜蘭蘇澳，19歲到台北事張義雄門下，1984年第一次參賽就獲的台陽美展銅牌獎，之後獲獎無數。林顯宗其畫如其人，樸拙、平穩，為台灣鄉土主義畫家代表之一。有台灣鐵牛的精神，在藝術界素有「鐵牛」之稱。繪畫實力雄厚、手法純熟、具內涵、耐看、用色大膽、力道強勁，他的畫中有話，不失傳統又具有現代生命力的特性，獨樹一幟，引發欣賞者的共鳴，甚獲好評。
此次畫展除了林顯宗老師之外，還有來自台灣的畫家楊靜芬、郭素、林瑞珠、黃梅英、蔡瓊書、李正輝、彤瑤、蔡瑞山、蘇松德、陳國強、時光林、林耀煌等。其中林玉山的女兒林瑞珠、孫兒林耀煌也都有作品展出，林玉山前輩畫家傳承繪事有人一時傳為佳話。此間頗受藝界肯定的新藝畫會會員–李淑櫻、洪逸凡、劉白、蔡蕙香、陳文石、蘇奐豪等也受邀參加這次台灣之美繪畫巡迴展，與台灣的畫家以藝切磋、交流。策展人蘇奐豪理事並表示，非常歡迎愛藝鄉親們撥忙前來觀賞畫作、聆聽演講，共襄藝術文化盛事。

Dear Friends,

You are cordially invited to the opening ceremony of “the Beauty of Taiwan” art exhibition. The event will take place at the Cultural Center of TECO in Los Angeles, at 11am on Saturday, April 1st.

The exhibition is part of an international tour of this art exhibition entitled “2016-17 the Beauty of Taiwan & Hearts of Asia”. It features 25 oil and lacquer paintings from 13 well known Taiwanese artists. Before its arrival to L.A., the exhibition has been held in Taiwan, Australia, and Hawaii. It will take place in Malaysia and also participate in the Croatia Art Festival later this year.

Six local Taiwanese-American artists from the New Art Group will join this exhibition at the L.A. stop.  Following the opening ceremony, starting at 2pm we have invited one of the 13 artists, Mr. Hsian-Dsung Lin, to give the audience an overview of the “Post-war Evolution of Arts in Taiwan”.

The exhibition is hosted by the Taiwanese United Fund (TUF), a charitable organization that is dedicated to promoting the awareness of Taiwanese-American heritages through education and cultural exchange programs. The L.A. exhibition is co-hosted by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Los Angeles and Los Angeles Taiwanese Lions Club. TUF director Huan H. Su is the art curator of the exhibition.
