About Us
Fremont Taiwan School is noncommercial, cultural, and educational organization founded and supported by a group of dedicated and motivated teachers and parent volunteers. FTS does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, nationality, ethnic origin, or religion.
FTS provides Chinese / Taiwanese Language classes ranging from kindergarten to grade 8 as well as skill/cultural classes. Our school fund comes from student tuition, and vendor/corporate/personal donations. The school budget is used on campus rent, teacher’s compensation, teaching/student material and equipments, and school activities. Besides the teachers, all members of the FTS staff receive no pay.
The objective of FTS is to provide an excellent environment for students to learn Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese language, to explore Chinese and Taiwanese culture and heritage, and to foster and enhance friendship among Chinese/Taiwanese-American community. We share our cultural backgrounds to nurture growth, responsibility, and productivity by celebrating our diversity within a positive school atmosphere and by promoting pride in ourselves through our studies and our educational accomplishments. FTS is also to actively be involved in local culture diversity program throughout the neighboring towns of Fremont and several other towns in the Bay Area.
