Dear Friends,
In this month's newsletter, we provide a brief illustration of some articles recently posted on our website:
The Center for Taiwan Studies at UC San Diego is set to have its grand opening in May. This center will serve as a hub for research, education, and cultural exchange related to Taiwan. It will facilitate collaboration among scholars, students, and community members interested in deepening their understanding of Taiwan and Taiwanese American’s history, culture, and society.
The article related to Professor Hua Hsu has been awarded the 2023 Pulitzer Prize for his memoir “Stay True.” The book, praised by the Pulitzer Prize jury, offers a poignant coming-of-age account, delving into intense friendships and the unpredictable violence that can reshape our personal narratives. Hsu's recognition comes as the inaugural winner in the newly established Memoir or Autobiography category, highlighting the flourishing nature of this genre.
