Happy 4th of July! In this month's newsletter, we provide a brief illustration of some articles recently posted on our website:
Dr. James C. Liao, President of Academia Sinica, Taiwan, has been awarded the Gregory N. Stephanopoulos Award for Metabolic Engineering. The award is given to a prominent scientist or engineer who has made seminal contributions to the industrial translation of basic developments in metabolic engineering, or quantitative analysis, design and modeling of metabolism.
The California State University (CSU) Board of Trustees has appointed Ming-Tung “Mike” Lee to serve as president of Sonoma State University. Lee has served as the university’s interim president since August 2022.
The Taiwan’s National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) launched a program in January to build a Taiwan-U.S. technology research platform by integrating inter-ministerial resources in the Cabinet to strengthen the country’s technology capabilities and selecting Stanford University as a partner for cooperation in preparation for the opening of the Taiwan Science and Technology Hub .
