- 13. 1970 / Taiwanese American Association/U.S. was found. There are more than 60 local chapters in the U. S. joined the association.
- 12. 1965 / Majority of Taiwanese students decided to stay in the U. S. after obtained their advance degrees.
- 11. 1965 / Some Taiwanese students were in a國民黨 black list and were not allowed to return to their home land.
- 10. 1965 / The spouses and children of Taiwan oversea students were allowed by the government of Taiwan to unite with their families in America.
- 9. 1960 / U. S. government emphasized the science and engineering fields. Financial aids to the graduate students of these fields were offered by many American universities. This created graduate study opportunities for Taiwanese graduates majoring in science and engineering fields.
- 8. 1/1/1956 / 3F (Formosans’ Free Formosa) was established in Philadelphia.
- 7. 1955 / Only college graduates were allowed to go out of Taiwan for advance study. Male students had to complete their military service first.
