Leslie Ho 何炳宏, Violinist
A native of Taiwan, Leslie Ho enjoys a diverse musical career in performing, teaching, and conducting. He has studied with many world-renowned artists such as Peter Marsh, Sidney Harth, Margaret Pardee, Yoko Takebe, Lucy Roberts, Yao-Ji Lin, Tokyo String Quartet and Ruggiero Ricci. Mr. Ho holds a bachelor degree in violin performance from the Manhattan School of Music and a master degree in violin performance from Yale University where he was a full-scholarship student.
Mr. Ho has won the 1st prize at the Bay View Music Festival’s Concerto Competition and the Herb Alpert Scholarship. He has been fellowship recipient to many music festivals such as Aspen Music Festival, Pacific Music Festival, Bay View Music Festival and Congress of Strings.
Leslie Ho has been concretizing both as soloist and chamber musician in New York, Los Angeles, Taiwan, and Japan. He was the Concertmaster of the Rio Hondo Symphony, and a founding member of the Gestalt String Quartet in Taipei, Taiwan. Mr. Ho has served as a violinist with the Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, the Westchester Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra of the South Bay.
Mr. Ho currently conducts Christian Zion Church Youth Orchestra and teaches violin and viola at Whittier College, California.
何炳宏
自幼習琴，台灣台北出生的何炳宏熱情地致力於多元化的音樂事 業:演奏，教學，指揮、與錄音。
何炳宏畢業於耶魯大學(Yale University)音樂碩士和曼哈頓音樂學院 (Manhattan School of Music)學士。曾師事于多位世界級演奏家與教授：Peter Marsh，Sidney Harth，Margaret Pardee，Yoko Takee， 林耀基、東京四重奏、及Ruggiero Ricci。
在校期間，除獲得耶魯大學音樂系全額獎學金，並獲多項比賽優勝及受邀參加： Aspen ’ Bay View ，Congress of Strings ’ Pacific 等 音樂節。演出方面—曾在New York ’ Los Angeles ，台灣，日本，舉辦個人獨奏會與室内樂演出。
畢業後，曾任職於台灣省立交響樂團，結構四重奏，The Westchester Symphony，Chamber Orchestra of the South Bay，省立台中二中，曉明女中音樂班，永生基督書院，並指揮台中社區愛樂管弦樂 團，喜樂之聲青少年樂團，和Whittier College弦樂團。
現任職Whittier College音樂系講師，基督徒敬拜中心青少年樂團， Strings 101.com 總監。
