GloryStar Children’s Chorus in Potomac, MD
大華府榮星兒童合唱團
The Glorystar Children’s Chorus is a multicultural children’s chorus founded in 1996 by Enchin Chen and music director Cherie Jeng, with initially 25 children. Currently, Glorystar has more than 130 choristers aged 5 to 18, in five singing groups: Prima choir, Dolce choir, Cantabile choir, Concert choir and Chamber choir. The training and activities of Glorystar not only give children the experience and joy of singing together but also foster harmony, a sense of pride and self-confidence through teamwork, discipline, and responsibility. The Glorystar Children’s Chorus has performed at many venues in the metropolitan area such as the Washington National Cathedral, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the National Institutes of Health, Montgomery College and the Performing Arts Center at Strathmore. They have toured all over the US and internationally including Oregon, Colorado, Hawaii, Taiwan, Italy, Hungary and Austria.
大華府榮星兒童合唱團於1996年由藝術總監陳淑卿所創辦,藉由愉悅的合唱藝術,為兒童和青少年提供良好的音樂教育。同時,透過豐富的東西方音樂曲目,增進大家對不同音樂的欣賞,以及為多元的社區搭建橋樑。該團有130多位團員,年齡在5歲至18歲之間。該團共分四組,包括有Beginning Choir(5至7歲)、Training Choir (7歲以上)、Concert Choir(9歲以上)及Chamber Choir(13歲以上)。該團曾在華府地區許多舞台上表演,包括華盛頓國家天主教堂、甘迺迪表演藝術中心、國家衛生總署、蒙郡社區學院及史翠斯摩爾表演藝術中心。該團亦曾在全美各地及國外演出,包括奧勒岡、科羅拉多、夏威夷、台灣、義大利、匈牙利及奧地利。
