Joli Wu吳昭麗, Violinist
Joli Wu, a native of Los Angeles, California, began her viola studies at the age of 13, under the tutelage of Louis Kievman. She received a bachelor’s degree from the Juilliard School in viola performance, where she studied with William Lincer, and a master’s degree from Yale University, where she was a member of the Quartet-in-Residence, studying with the Tokyo String Quartet, and a member of the New Haven Symphony Orchestra. Upon graduation, she moved to Cambridge, MA, where she served as a resident tutor in Currier House at Harvard University for five years and performed frequently with the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra and the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Wu is the principal violist of the Atlanta Ballet Orchestra, and a section member of the Atlanta Opera Orchestra. In the 2008-09 season, Ms. Wu served as acting principal violist of the Atlanta Opera.
Ms. Wu has appeared as a soloist with numerous orchestras including a recent performance of the Mozart’s Symphony Concertante with Atlanta Symphony member, Juan Ramirez. She has received myriad prizes and fellowships, among which include the Aspen Fellowship, the Tanglewood Music Center Fellowship, and the performing associate position at the Bowdoin Music Festival. Ms. Wu currently teaches violin and viola at the Georgia Academy of Music, and coaches chamber music and technique class at The Westminster Schools.

Julliard音樂院小提琴演奏士,耶魯大學碩士畢業,跟隨Jesse Levine學習中提琴,曾任Brentwood-Westwood交響樂團,及Palisades交響樂團等各樂團獨奏;並任Juilliard交響樂團及Tanglewood Music Center交響樂團首席中提琴手。曾獲Young Musicians Foundation獎學金及Aspen獎學金。並曾在Lincoln Center Merkin Hall的Spectrum系列與Claude Frank合奏。
