Peirong Lo 羅佩蓉, Pianist
Praised as a pianist with artistic insight and dynamic energy, Dr. Peirong Lo羅佩蓉 has performed extensively in solo and chamber music in the DC area including the Kennedy Center and Strathmore. Lo holds a D.M.A. degree in collaborative piano from the University of Maryland and a M.M. degree in piano performance from the Peabody Conservatory. During that period, she studied with Prof. Rita Sloan, Brian Ganz, while also taking master classes with Lambert Orkis and Jonathan Feldman.
Lo was named an honored pianist of the National Orchestral Institute and was a finalist of Ulrich Competition at the University of Maryland. She also received accompanying scholarships from the University of Maryland and the Aspen Music Festival and School.
In addition to her performing career, Lo also participated in a recording project with Helen Marlaise in her Succeeding at the Piano series. She was a vocal accompanist at the Duke Ellington School of Arts and held piano faculty positions at Virginia Institute of Music and International School of Music in Bethesda, Maryland.
