TASTA, a civil and non-profit organization, was founded in May 2002 by a group of dedicated Taiwanese American professionals in the Greater Washington, D.C. area. The main mission is to promote close cooperation between Americans and the people in Taiwan, especially in D.C. metropolitan region, in science, technology and industry fields via sponsoring and supporting activities in education, research, communication and networking. Currently our members are associated with high-tech companies, entrepreneuers, government research labs and institutions, defense research labs, and university research professionals. Most of them with advanced degrees in sciences and engineering fields with strong interest to the community development. TASTA is also associated with the U.S.-Taiwan Business Council.
