JaniceWongBorn in Taiwan in 1977, Janice Wong began studying music at age four. She studied under William and Keiko Ransom of Emory University in high school. She went on to earn bachelor’s and master’s degree at the Peabody Music Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University studying under Boris Slutsky. Upon receiving her master’s degree, Ms. Wong gained a full scholarship to attend the International Sommerakademie Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria during which time she studied under the esteemed Andrzej Jasinski and Sergio Perticarloli. She currently works to refine her musicianship under the guidance of Zalina Guervich and Oleg Barsov.

Ms. Wong has received significant competitive distinctions from organizations such as the Georgia Music Georgia Music Teachers’ Association, and the Piano Literary Meet of Georgia. In addition, she has won or placed in a number of contests including the Atlanta Young Artist Competition, the Atlanta Jewish Artist Competition, the Baldwin Competition, the Wideman Piano Competition and the Pro-Mozart Scholarship Competition.

Ms. Wong has performed in the United States, Europe, and Asia. In addition to her solo recitals, she has performed in chamber recitals with leading Eastern and Western instrumentalists in Taiwan and in the United States. She has been a member of the piano faculty at Emory University since 2000.
