Born and educated in Taiwan, SAROLINA SHEN CHANG has published over 500 pieces of work in Chinese—short stories, short-short fiction, essays,and poems. A collected work of short-short fiction, Si LiJi Duan Pian, was published in Taipei, Taiwan in 1993. One of the short-short stories was translated and published in Loud Sparrows: Contemporary Chinese Short-Shorts by Columbia University Press in 2006. Three poems were included in The Best Taiwanese Poetry in 2008, 2009,and 2012,respectively.
Since beginning to write poetry in English, she has been published in The MacGuffin, The Cortland Review, Wayne Literary Review, Parting Gifts, and other periodicals. A chapbook,One Tenth of a Rainbow by the Setting Sun, was published by the March Street Press in 2005. Another, They Return, was published by Finishing Line Press in 2009.
