Taiwan Chamber of Commerce of New England

Founded in 1996, Taiwan Chamber of Commerce of New England (TCCNE) is a nonprofit trade organization dedicated to promoting and advancing the continued success of New England as a thriving community in which to live, work and do business. The Chamber takes a leadership role in the business community for Growth, Advocacy, Information and Networking. Working with Taiwan Youth Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Taiwanese Student Association of New England, TCCNE is organizing an internship connection with local businesses and young professionals. TCCNE is one of the thirty-two local chapters of Taiwan Chamber of Commerce of North America, which has more than 3,500 Taiwanese business members. These businesses have provided more than 50,000 jobs in their local communities and constitute a significant economic force in the North American region.

Taiwan is the 8th largest export partner of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts according to data from the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center Network. The Commonwealth exported a total of more than 0.91 billion to Taiwan in 2010. There are more than 300 Taiwanese businesses in New England investing more than $700 million and across many industries, including information technology, telecommunications, biotechnology, consulting and restaurants. There are over 20 companies from the New England area investing in Taiwan, such as State Street Bank and Raytheon.
