Shuo-Hui (Sophie) Hung 洪碩徽, Pianist
Shuo-Hui (Sophie) Hung, born in Taiwan, is currently pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in piano performance at University of North Texas College of Music with the renowned pianist, Gustavo Romero. Ms. Hung is an experienced soloist and collaborative pianist and has won awards in piano competitions, such as a finalist in the annual UNT piano concerto competition, a first prize winner of the NTUE piano concerto competition, a first prize winner of the piano concerto competition held by the Taipei Wind Orchestra and Symphonic band, a prize winner of Kaohsiung piano competition in Taiwan, and a prize winner of KAWAI youth piano competition.
During her studies, Ms. Hung was selected as a participant in the Aspen Music Festival and School studying with Wu Han and Ann Schein, the recipient of the Ed and Julia Hodges Memorial Scholarship, Academic Achievement Scholarship, USC Scholarship, and the selected member in Pi Kappa Lambda Music Society.
洪碩徽台灣高雄人。於求學期間,多次榮獲各項校内外比赛佳績並受邀於各地演出;也多次參加大師班接受指導。目前就讀於美國北德州立大學鋼琴演奏博士班,師事 Gustavo Romero。
