Valentina Wen-Ting Huang 黃文亭 , Pianist
Valentina Wen-Ting Huang Bom in Taiwan, Ms. Huang performed at the gala concert of Junior Original Composition Yamaha in Japan at the age of 9 and entered theUniversity for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Austria at 15. She was honoredwith the National Excellence Award for Young Artistic Talents in Taiwan and receivedthe scholarship from the Austrian Ministry of Science and Research. She entered Fis-choff Chamber Music Competition and Concert Artists Guild International Competition and was the Prize Winner of the Chesapeake Chamber Music Competition.
As the pianist of the Felici Piano Trio, Ms. Huang toured extensively in California, Washington and Texas. She has performed as soloist in Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, France, Austria and Taiwan. She has served as adjudicator, juror and coach for MTAC,s Certificate of Merit, Southern California Junior Bach Festival, Southwestern Youth Music Festival, Junior Chamber Music, High Desert Music Teachers,Association in Ridgecrest, Chamber Musicians of Northern California, Biola University.
Ms. Huang received her Doctoral degree from Indiana University, mentored by the Distinguished Professor Menahem Pressler. She holds both Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from University for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. Currently Ms. Huang is the Vice President and Bach Chair of Music Teachers’ Association of California, Hacienda Heights Branch Director of Junior Chamber Music. She is an Adjunct Professor of piano at the Pasadena City College.
