台灣室內樂社的董事長陳家榮醫師說，這些音樂會主要是給台灣人、或與台灣有關係的音樂界人士演出的機會。通常春季音樂會，是發掘紐約的音樂新秀，秋季音樂會請的都是已有名聲的音樂家。陳家榮自己也是一個頗有成就的業餘晝家，對於藝術家，他有一份惺惺相惜的疼惜之心
陳家榮的太太黃春英女士，是台灣室內樂社社長，負責舉辦音樂會，並發掘以及聯絡音樂家。
The Formosa Chamber Music Society, Inc. was founded in 1991 with the goals of promoting young talented musicians and providing exceptional music to our audiences. The Formosa Chamber Music Society, Inc. has presented outstanding performers and composers at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall for the past fourteen years. The artists presented by the society include Ms. Gwhyncth Chen (formerly known as Edith Chen), the 1st Prize Winner of the First Pogorelich International Piano Competition, Ms. Shih Hui Chen, winner of the American Academy in Rome, Guggenheim International Competition, and other international prestigious awards For composition, Mr. Wen-Sinn Yang, the principle cellist of Bavarian Symphony Orchestra, Ms. Jenny Lin, talented interpreter of classical, rare, and contemporary piano literature, and Ms. Yung-chiao Wei, an exquisite double bass soloist.
The society has also presented many other young Taiwancse-born musicians, including Tien-Yi Chian (pianist. 1992 and 2002), Shih-Yi Chiang (pianist, 1992 and 2002). I-Chcn Wang (violist, 1995), Jung-Kuang Lin (pianist & composer, 1996). Pei-Chun Tsai (violinist, 1997), Tsao-Lun Lu (cellist, 1998). Amy I-LinCheng(pianist 1999) Elizabeth Su (cellist, 1999), Kenneth Kuo (cellist, 2000), Hsin-Lin Tsai (violinist. 2000). Ching-Jung Lu (pianist, 2001), Ming-Shi Du (violinist.2003), Ho-Yi Chen (pianist, 2004), Amy Mon-Yun Hsieh (cellist. 2004), Julia Chu-Ying Hu (violist, 2004). Ruth Wen-Hsuan Lin (violinist 2004), Shieh Jian Tsai (violinist, 2004), and artists born in Hong Kong, Carol To (Soprano, 1994) and in China, Hsin-ay Hsu, (pianist, 1996).
