Survey of Taiwanese Americans on Immigration History, Political Views, and What It Means to Be Taiwanese American

Thank you for your interest in this survey! Please only fill-out this survey if you self-identify as “Taiwanese American.” The survey should only take a few minutes of your time. I am a Taiwanese American immigration and human rights lawyer, and am interested in learning more about the immigration history and political views or lack thereof of those who self-identify as Taiwanese American. I started this project to satisfy my own personal and intellectual curiosity with no financial or organizational backing. If I find any common themes, I hope to use the information collected in this survey to write an article regarding my findings so that I can contribute to Taiwanese American historical scholarship. By taking this survey, you are consenting to the use of the information provided for research and scholarship purposes. Biographical information including year, place of birth, gender, current location, education, and religion is being collected to determine whether there are any correlations to a respondent’s political views, and will not be used for identification purposes. Anonymous responses are welcome. I appreciate your participation and thorough responses to this survey’s question!

With gratitude,
Christine Lin
