Wan-Lung Chuang 莊婉玲, Bassist

 

Bassist Wan-Ling Chuang received her doctoral and master degrees from the Eastman School of Music.  As an orchestral double bass player, Wan-Ling Chuang started her professional orchestral career performing at the age of 19, performing with the Taipei Symphony and Taipei Philharmonic in Taiwan as well as the Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes, Binghamton Philharmonic, Orchestra of the Northern New York and Cayuga Chamber Orchestra. Wan-Ling also plays solo and chamber music extensively. She is the founder of Chanson Strings quartet. Her quartet has participated many international festivals, such as Fringe Festival at Rochester 2016. ​        Dr. Chuang is currently on faculty of State University of New York at Geneseo and Hochstein School of Music and Dance in Rochester. She also serves as principal bass at Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes at Corning NY.
