Education and Experience
1959: Bachelor of Arts, National Taiwan University, Dept, of Foreign Language and Literature. President of University Association of Fine Arts, 1956-58.
1961: Worldwide 13-month tour for Moral Rearmament, with conferences in Japan, India, Switzerland, West Germany, Denmark, Norway, and the United States.
1962: Return to Taiwan to teach in a high school.
1963: Awarded a scholarship by the French government to study in Paris.
1964-65: At IPFE at the Sorbonne (University of Paris)
obtained two certificates in French language and a diploma in contemporary French literature “with honorable mention.”
l965-70: Studied at Ecole National des Beaux-Arts, Paris. In 1968 discovered and realized “Hydro- gravure,” a new technique and expression in graphic art.
1965-70: At the Sorbonne prepared a doctoral dissertation on Chinese Calligraphy and Contemporary Art,approved “with very honorable mention.” Awarded Ph.D. by the University of Paris.
1970: Tour of important American museums.
1973-76: Extensive travel in Europe, North America, and Japan for the World Federation of Formosan Clubs as acting general secretary, holding meetings and giving speeches to promote cultural activities among Taiwanese communities.
1974: Came to the U.S., lived and painted in New York.
1977: Established permanent residence in Maryland suburbs of Washington, D.C.
