“Living Well Club” of New Jersey

Living Well Club is an association with an interest in promoting social interaction and good-fellowship among Taiwanese Americans in New Jersey. The current plan of the Living Well Club is to provide an opportunity and a centrally located, easily accessed place for Taiwanese Americans in New Jersey to get together once a week and participate in varieties of activities. Through these activities which involve learning, playing, sharing, social interactions and volunteering in services participants can enrich lives by staying mentally and physically active as well as being happier and healthier. The envisioned programs and activities are most recreational, educational, cultural, social, and spiritual such as sharing life experiences, chatting and discussing what’s happening this week in America and the world, playing games like bridge, chess, movies seeing, videos watching, karaoke singing, arts and crafts, physical exercises activities like Tai-Chi, Ping-Pong, as well as occasional cultural and educational classes and seminars as well as field trip like museum or garden visit, etc. However, the needs and interests of each participant will be valued and considered as the success of the program is measured by the participation and enjoyment of each participant.

The Living Well Club meets weekly on Wednesday from 10am to 3pm at Taiwanese American Fellowship Presbyterian Church (TAFPC) building at 100 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, New Jersey 08901. A simple lunch will be provided through cost sharing.

紐澤西州”生活充實俱樂部” (以下簡稱為”本俱樂部” )是基於為促進紐澤西州臺美人, 能經由社交互動及交誼的中間使生活更充實所成立的新組織.

”本俱樂部”目前的計劃是為大家提供一處適中而方便的地點, 給願意參與者每週有一次相聚並參加各種活動的機會. 希望每位參與者都能藉由這些活動, 從學習, 遊樂, 分享, 社交, 和自願參與及服務的中間, 讓自已的身心更健康更快樂, 而使生活更充實.

目前這些擬想的活動大都是屬于娛樂性, 教育性, 文化性, 社交性和精神性方面的: 譬如生活點滴的分享, 暢談闊論天下事, 打橋牌, 下棋, 唱歌 ( Karaoke), 欣賞電影或視頻, 藝術或手藝, 各種健身活動 (太極拳或桌球). 也會不定時的安排文化或教育性的課或專題演講. 如果有需求, 也可安排各種郊遊, 如參觀博物館或花園等.

最重要的是: 因為各種節目或活動不論準備得多完美, 其最後的成敗都決定在參加者是否能真正享受到他/她所想要的. 所以每位參與者的興趣和需要都會被慎重考慮的. 也因此非常歡迎並希望所有有意參與者儘量來參加首次集會並提供您們的寶貴意見.
